Marketing Manager

What You Will Do:
As a Marketing Specialist at Growth Scalers, you will be responsible for developing customer-centric content and marketing strategies that resonate with our primary US audience, while maintaining sensitivity to UK vs. US English nuances. You’ll use data, empathy, and storytelling to craft compelling narratives across websites, emails, blogs, ads, and other digital platforms.

This role is ideal for a native English speaker (preferably UK-based) who thrives on collaboration, works effectively with AI tools, and has a deep understanding of what motivates buyers. You'll also bring hands-on experience with cold outreach and e-commerce marketing platforms, supporting both B2B and DTC initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Client Persona Development

  • Use both quantitative data (analytics, surveys) and qualitative insights (client meetings, reviews, feedback) to define detailed buyer personas.

  • Understand customer pain points, motivations, and goals to inform messaging across all content formats.

✅ Content Writing & Strategy

  • Write polished, persuasive copy for websites, emails, blogs, ads, and product listings using native fluency and adaptability in tone.

  • Use AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude.ai for ideation or drafting, then refine with human insight and high attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with the brand team to ensure all content aligns with customer needs and brand voice.

✅ Editing & Proofreading Support

  • Review content generated by the internal team or AI to ensure tone, grammar, and message clarity.

  • Pay close attention to detail—ensure links work, formatting is consistent, and content stays on-brand.

  • Support team members with proofreading and content refinement as needed to uphold high editorial standards.

✅ Cold Outreach & Lead Generation

  • Set up and manage cold email outreach systems using tools like Smartleads, SmartScout, Clay, or similar platforms.

  • Create lead generation workflows and automated outreach sequences to support client acquisition strategies.

  • Apply marketing frameworks like AIDA, PAS, and StoryBrand to structure messaging tailored to each stage of the buyer’s journey.

✅ E-commerce Email & SMS Campaigns

  • Manage and optimize email and SMS campaigns using Klaviyo and Attentive.

  • Develop segmentation strategies and behavior-based flows to maximize relevance and conversion rates.

  • Write compelling, brand-aligned copy and run A/B tests to optimize engagement and performance.

✅ Data-Driven Insights & Optimization

  • Monitor key KPIs (CTR, conversions, open rates, engagement) to evaluate content performance.

  • Apply insights from analytics to optimize messaging, campaign structure, and audience targeting.

  • Ensure full compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices.

✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with graphic designers, providing clear creative briefs and strategic copy support.

  • Partner with brand managers to translate qualitative client feedback into high-performing marketing assets.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following 7 core skills:

  1. Native English Fluency – Exceptional command of US English is essential, as the primary focus is the US market. Ability to adapt tone and language while remaining sensitive to UK/US differences is a plus.
  1. Empathy & Buyer Psychology – Deep understanding of customer motivations, language, and decision-making.

  2. Detail-Oriented Execution – Excellent editing and proofreading skills; consistently produces polished content.

  3. Content Strategy – Aligns messaging with marketing funnels, brand voice, and data insights.

  4. Digital Marketing Experience – Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, cold outreach, and paid ad best practices.

  5. AI-Assisted Writing Expertise – Proficient in using AI tools for content ideation and refinement.

  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Skilled at working across teams including brand, design, and strategy.

Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience with cold outreach tools and lead generation workflows

  • Proficiency in Klaviyo and Attentive for campaign creation, segmentation, and optimization

  • Excellent copywriting skills with a strong command of persuasive language

  • Strong analytical mindset to track performance and improve ROI

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Google Analytics, HubSpot, or other marketing analytics platforms

  • Familiarity with Amazon content (listings, A+ content, customer reviews)

  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and keyword optimization

  • Background in DTC or eCommerce copywriting
